What this site does
Dental Plan Provider is an information and comparison site for discount dental plans in the United States. It is an independent site, not a plan provider.
You cannot buy anything on this site, and there are no user accounts, logins, newsletters or contact forms. When you are ready to look at plans, we send you to DentalPlans.com, where any enrolment and payment happens under their terms and their privacy policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Essentially none. The only thing you can type into this site is a ZIP code in the plan search box. That ZIP code is used solely to build the address of the plan results page at DentalPlans.com and send you there. We do not store your ZIP code and we do not link it to you.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like any website, our host records standard technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser and operating system. This is used for security, diagnostics and abuse prevention.
- Usage analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site (see below).
- Affiliate link clicks. When you click one of our links to a plan provider, we record the click so we know which pages are useful. That record includes your IP address, approximate country, browser, device type and the page you came from. We use it only in aggregate, to see which content works.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages get read and understand where people arrive from. This tells us which articles are worth keeping and what to write more of. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_X72YY1Z90G, which last up to 400 days and are used to tell repeat visits apart.
We use this only in aggregate, never to identify you. We have not enabled Google’s advertising features, so this data is not used to build advertising audiences. Google states that Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google explains what it collects in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used, through aggregated usage statistics, heatmaps and session replays. This helps us fix confusing pages. Clarity sets two cookies, _clck and _clsk, to tell repeat visits apart.
If you are visiting from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Clarity sets no cookies unless consent has been given. Microsoft explains what Clarity collects in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Advertising cookies
This site carries no advertising. We do not run Google AdSense, we do not run remarketing or retargeting, and we do not set advertising cookies. Earlier versions of this site did carry advertising; that has been removed.
Cookies set by other companies after you leave
When you click through to DentalPlans.com, our affiliate network (CJ Affiliate) and DentalPlans.com set their own cookies on their own websites so that any resulting sign-up is credited to us. Those cookies are governed by their privacy policies, not this one.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using this site.
Affiliate links and how we are paid
We earn a commission if you sign up for a plan after clicking a link on this site. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change the price you pay. We are paid the same regardless of which plan you choose, and commission does not determine the order in which plans appear.

How long we keep information
Server logs and affiliate click records are kept only as long as they are useful for security and for understanding which pages perform, and are deleted or trimmed periodically. Clarity data is retained according to Microsoft’s own retention periods.
Your rights
UK and European Economic Area
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to our processing it, and to ask us to restrict it. Because this site holds no accounts and no contact details, in practice the only data that could relate to you is an IP address in a log or click record. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local supervisory authority.
United States
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. Contact us and we will honour that.
Children
This site is intended for adults looking into dental plans. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We link to other websites as a convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, even where they relate to plans we describe.
